Signed by the artist.
Given in memory of William Scott Owen, the architect of the 1892 restoration of the church, who died in 1921. Gwendoline Priscilla, daughter of William Scott Owen, died in the Abermule railway disaster of 26 January 1921 and is buried outside in the churchyard.
The style of the window is close to his large roundels for the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank in Singapore. A replica of 'Commerce' survives in the Stained Glass Museum, after it was displayed in Selfridge's in 1924.
