Another version of the same cartoon can be found in the Stained Glass Museum, Ely. Also dated 1876, it was originally the east window of the Church of St Michael and All Angels, Weybridge, Surrey, and demonstrates a higher quality of paintwork.

There is an entry in the Powells archive for Major Picton Turberville, Ewenny Priory: 'Three light east window. Centre light Westwill quarries and border as in Winstons Book with medallion of St. Michael as sketch. Side lights of matching quarries and borders'.
