St Curig
Curig (Latin: Cyricus or Quiricus) was a child martyr who was kiled in Tarsus in the early fourth century along with his mother Julitta. The popularity of their cults reached France and Britain, where churches dedicated to them, or to Curig alone, can be found. Later Welsh traditions appear to have assumed that Curig visited Wales and founded the churches that bear his name in Llangurig and Capel Curig.
